The Christus Live Well Women’s Conference drew an attendance of 2,000 people Thursday, May 12. This is the largest attendance number in conference history, according to Christus Southeast Texas Health System Marketing & Events Coordinator Becky Howard.

May 26, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas added another prosecutor to the sentencing case of former Beaumont Independent School District administrators Patricia Adams Collins Lambert and Victoria Steward. According to a filing at the court, Assistant United States Attorney Robert Wells of Tyler was added as co-counsel in the case.

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s assistance in getting dangerous drug dealers and drug users, along with the poisonous products they carry, off the streets. To that end, The Examiner will periodically feature a list of five persons accused of drug-related crimes here in High Five.

“Crime Stoppers and The Examiner are teaming up to fight the drug problem in Southeast Texas,” Beaumont Police Officer Carol Riley of Crime Stoppers said.
