If you watch any TV, you have undoubtedly seen the countless commercials for MagicJack, offering to save users hundreds of dollars a year in phone bills for a monthly fee of about $2. When it first came out about three years ago, I reviewed the original MagicJack in this column and on my weekly radio show.

The name Steve Jobs is synonymous with technology and inventions that cause the world to marvel. He was a visionary, often far ahead of his time, and many of us rely daily on the things he helped create. New Year’s Eve celebrations began popping up around the United States around 1900. Our country observes the Gregorian calendar, which means December 31 is the end of the calendar year. Whether you go out and have a good time or stay home and watch the happenings on television, below is a list of “what to do” on New Year’s Eve, but don’t forget on Jan. 1, 2012 to watch the Rose Bowl Parade, grub down on some cabbage, black-eyed peas, cornbread and some ham then allow yourself time to make your New Year’s resolutions.
