Classic Movie Night continues with the 2004 comedy Mean Girls on Friday, Jan. 8, at the historic Jefferson Theatre in downtown Beaumont. Written by Tina Fey, Mean Girls stars Lindsay Lohan as Cady Heron, who attends public school for the first time and joins a clique headed by Regina George (Rachel McAdams). Cady falls for Regina’s ex-boyfriend, and out come the mean games. The film is 97 minutes and rated PG13.

The Legends at the Jefferson Series continues Thursday, Jan. 14, with Liverpool Legends — Beatles Tribute Band. Now this plant loves cold weather! I never cease to be amazed when big box garden centers have cyclamen for sale in September here in Texas. Yes, sitting next to heat loving flowers, they place these gorgeous cyclamen flowers. November through February is when these beauties thrive in our neck of the woods. They do not like hot climes.
