What your kids will want

By summer’s end, 18 new video games will line the shelves of your favorite gaming store. What will make your kid say, “I want?” Let’s take a sneak peek.

There are two racing games due out this summer. The first is DIRT Showdown. It’s a down and dirty racing game with the trailer mantra of “Race Hard, Party Hard.” It’s rated E+10 for everyone older than 10 but includes a few choice hand gestures as racers crash and bang into each other to reach the finish line.

Wilcox is a hands-on manager, busily handling the buffet line, helping answer customer questions, checking on hot pizzas coming out of the kitchen, and taking special orders for various combinations of toppings.

Working really hard and giving your best effort in an attempt to carry out a plan or to meet a goal for someone else can end in negative feelings when the other person doesn’t seem to understand or value our contribution. We are disappointed. There are times when we honestly feel we have followed the orders or instructions we were given only to have them change in midstream. We wanted the person or people to see it our way or to at least give verbal acknowledgement to the fact that we tried.

There are so many fishing opportunities hereabouts that it is only prudent to tell you what’s hot and what’s not. First, there is some really good action in most of our fishing holes, and now is a great time to go after them. One of the things that has kicked off the saltwater action has been the stable weather. Of course, there have been times when the winds caused rough and of color water, but most of the time the May weather, as expected, has been fine.
