Taylor made … The oh-so-talented James Taylor was a huge draw at the recent Christus Southeast Texas Foundation 36th Annual Gala. The sold-out fundraiser was held at the Beaumont Civic Center with guests seated at 150 different tables (a huge coup for any fundraiser in this day and time). This humble velvet-voiced gentleman wowed the gigantic crowd for over an hour, and sang a career’s worth of favorite hits that brought back tons of memories for many.

The gold that glittered … Many special agents volunteering for the Art Museum of Southeast Texas Go for the Gold fundraiser this year — complete with Goldfinger theme — did an outstanding job selling almost all of the 450 tickets available. Last Thursday evening, March 10, agents, guests and maybe even some spies descended upon the museum for the reverse drawing toward $10,000 in gold coins.
