The only difficult thing about visiting the popular China Garden, located in Beaumont’s Gateway Plaza, is choosing what you will eat first and how long you will stay. More than 150 items await you on the different food bars, beginning with a healthy salad area, a new hibachi grill where you see your food choices cooked, all of the Texas Gulf Coast seafood you can imagine, vegetables, specialty dishes, and tantalizing desserts.

It doesn’t get much better than this. The city of Orange and the Orange Convention and Visitors Bureau are sponsoring the 10th annual Art in the Park on Saturday, March 24, from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m., and it is totally free. The event will take place at Stark Park in Orange.

Monday, March 19, is an important day in Southeast Texas for all those concerned about the welfare of the boys and girls who live in the area. The Tom Mulvaney Golf Tournament is on tap beginning with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. at the Beaumont County Club. The event is a prime fundraiser for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for children) and depends on this fun-filled day to help meet the many needs of an ever-expanding population.
