Ed Grissom is one of the biggest draws for folks returning to the comfortable surroundings of the Logon Café at 3805 Calder in Beaumont. He and his staff know how to treat their customers, and to put icing on the cake, they have a ball doing it. Grissom is a music buff and can tell you at least two stories behind every musical instrument decorating the walls of this charming, family-friendly café.

A friend sent this to me to share and I loved it. I remember once in third grade saving my lunch money and getting some help from my own Mama Cole and Aunt Anna and buying clothes and shoes for a girl in my class, Lillian, who lived on the wrong side of the tracks in the little mill village. She had so little and what she had was divided between six brothers and sisters. Lillian grew up to be a good, responsible adult and never forgot the little gift of love that Santa made happen.I remember my first Christmas adventure with Grandma. I was just a kid.
