The event …


You can bet your money on the 24th annual Chef’s Delight and come away knowing you’ll be a winner Tuesday, Oct. 9. Beginning at 6 p.m., The Holiday Inn Beaumont Plaza will be the scene of a wonderful evening of fun, food and fellowship honoring President Jimmy and First Lady Susan Simmons of Lamar University and providing funding for scholarships for culinary students of the future.

Lace up and save lives!

UPDATE:

In the event of major thunderstorms and lightning impacting the Run/Walk at 8:00 a.m. this Saturday, regretfully, we will be forced to cancel the first phase of the event.
 


However, we will continue inside with the remainder of our celebratory festivities and open the Beaumont Civic Center at 9:30 a.m. for fabulous rhythm and blues singer Yvonne Washington and her band, prior to the bedazzling Richard Simmons show and picnic lunch, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
