Born on a military base in Fort Carson, Colo., singer-songwriter Michael Grimm has paid his dues to get where he is today. But despite winning season 5 of America’s Got Talent in 2010, which earned him $1 million and contract with Epic Records, the soon to be 32-year-old Grimm still says he has much to prove.
Before entering the show, Grimm had released three independent albums from 2007-10 and America’s Got Talent was his big chance.
With more than 16 million records sold, it’s hard to argue that 3 Doors Down doesn’t belong atop of any list. The southern boys from Mississippi — well, most of them anyway — last played Beaumont’s Ford Arena in 2009. But no matter how and when they play here, their popularity continues to soar.
Clear Channel Radio has been putting smiles on the faces of thousands of kids throughout Southeast Texas with their annual Kid Fest celebration and this year is no different. Clear Channel has teamed up with Conn’s to welcome the return of the 14th annual Kid Fest on Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Beaumont Civic Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
