Linkin Park, Incubus co-headline the Honda Civic Tour in Houston

The 2012 Honda Civic Tour, featuring Linkin Park and Incubus, will make at stop at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion north of Houston on Tuesday, Aug. 28, with gates opening at 6 p.m. Tickets are $100.25-$46.50 and can be purchased via Ticketmaster.

Getting personal with George Lopez

Fresh off his third solo comedy special on HBO, It’s Not Me, It’s You, the multi-talented George Lopez is back on tour doing new material and will perform two shows in two nights at the Bayou Music Center at 520 Texas Ave. in Houston on Aug. 10-11 at 8 p.m. Tickets for the show are $61 or $49.50 and can be purchased at the venue or online at livenation.com.

Rock legends Aerosmith deliver on Global Warming Tour

I’ve been to hundreds, wait, change that to probably thousands of concerts since my mother took me to my first one some 28 years ago (Nov. 9, 1984 to be exact) when Michael Jackson and the Jackson Five came to the Houston Astrodome for the Victory Tour. OK, you get the point  — lots of shows. But as many as I’ve been to, I’ve never had the opportunity to see Aerosmith, until now.
