The Beach Boys

They are the most iconic American band ever to take the stage with more than 80 songs that hit the music charts, with 36 reaching the Top 40 — a Billboard record. That’s in addition to their record as the top-selling American band for both albums and singles. They are the Beach Boys.

It all started with three teenage brothers with the last name of Wilson — Brian, Carl and Dennis — and their cousin Mike Love, along with school friend Al Jardine, in Hawthorne, California.

Loomis

“If blues, soul, and rock can be said to form a triangle, you’ll find Hamilton Loomis right in the center of it,” says Guitar Player magazine. Hamilton Loomis returns to Madison’s on Dowlen on Friday, Feb. 11, with a performance time of 9:30 p.m. for ages 21 and older. Loomis is touring in support of a new record, Give it Back, which is full of funk and soul, rock, and a satisfying dose of the blues.

Jamie Barclay’s exhibition “Pearl” will be on display at High Street Gallery on Friday, Feb. 12, and a reception will be held from 7-10 p.m. at the gallery inside the Victoria House at 2110 Victoria St. in Beaumont. The event is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served. The artwork will be for sale by the artist.
