Mamma Mia! — Tuesday, Oct. 4, 7:30 p.m.

The 2016-17 lineup has been announced for the 37th season at the Lutcher Theater (707 Main) in Orange, and it includes 13 incredible shows and begins with a Broadway favorite that kicking off it’s national tour, Mamma Mia! on Oct. 4.

That’s followed by a diverse lineup of spectacular shows that promises something for everyone.

Brian Jack

The City of Beaumont Recreation Division hosts “Neighbors & Concerts” on Saturday, Aug. 20, from 3-9 p.m. at Magnolia Park (2855 Magnolia St.) featuring performances by Brian Jack, Cupid and Solid Sounds. The event is free and open to the public, and will feature snow cones, popcorn, jump stations, music and games. At 13, Brian Jack bought his first guitar, then joined his uncle’s band, where he learned how to play the accordion. Years later, he formed his own band, Brian Jack & The Zydeco Gamblers.

Family Arts Day at AMSET

Back-to-school is right around the corner, and the Art Museum of Southeast Texas (AMSET) invites children and their families to finish their summer with a bang by joining in a stimulating art adventure at “Don’t Mess with Texas, Mess with ART” Family Arts Day on Saturday, Aug. 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. During this Family Arts Day, visitors will learn how to use recycled materials to create innovative works of art to take home. The event is free and open to the public.

Goo Goo Dolls

Multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated band Goo Goo Dolls will hit the road this fall for their second headline run in support of their latest release Boxes featuring support from SafetySuit. The tour kicks off Oct. 26 in Boise, Idaho, and will run through December, including a Dec. 4 appearance in Beaumont at the Jefferson Theatre.
