Tuffy’s Eatery, best known for its homemade rolls and pies — not to mention its plate-filling chicken-fried steaks — reopened May 16, and Southeast Texans have shown that they appreciate the restaurant’s comeback.

The highly successful Video Games Live multimedia concert experience will return to the Houston Symphony for the fifth time at Jones Hall on Friday, July 14, at 7:30 p.m. A brand-new show from years past, the entertaining spectacle will be led by guest conductor Emmanuel Fratianni.

“Notorious” Shane Taylor

Hurricane Pro Wrestling will slam into the Beaumont Civic Center on Saturday, July 15, for a show titled “Riot” featuring Ring of Honor star “Notorious” Shane Taylor. Taylor, from Cleveland, Ohio, stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 350 pounds. He officially signed with ROH late last year and had a big feud with War Machine. Taylor also recently competed on ROH’s pay-per-view “Best in the World” on June 23 when he teamed with Rhett Titus against Kenny King and Caprice Coleman and the Motor City Machine Guns.

Known as one of the greatest films in American cinema, The Godfather will be shown at Classic Movie Night at the Jefferson Theatre on Friday, July 14, and The Lunchbox will be the feature for the Foreign Film Series, also at the Jefferson, on Wednesday, July 19.
