If no one turned out last weekend to watch “The Watch,” don’t blame the wall-to-wall coverage of the Olympics. There just wasn’t much to see. This is not a total disaster, but it comes close.

Rock legends Aerosmith deliver on Global Warming Tour

I’ve been to hundreds, wait, change that to probably thousands of concerts since my mother took me to my first one some 28 years ago (Nov. 9, 1984 to be exact) when Michael Jackson and the Jackson Five came to the Houston Astrodome for the Victory Tour. OK, you get the point  — lots of shows. But as many as I’ve been to, I’ve never had the opportunity to see Aerosmith, until now.

At first glance, it sounds almost like an oxymoron. The word “sailor” can conjure images of grizzled, profanity-spewing old men, whereas angels are a universal symbol of virtue and purity.


After hearing Dave McCabe talk about his first experience with special needs children, however, the phrase begins to make more sense.
