Finch Hutton brings French-American style bistro to Nederland

Driving to 1147 Boston Ave. in Nederland provided a surprise like no other encountered on recent assignments. Arriving at my destination, a new restaurant, Finch Hutton, I had no idea what to expect. A gracious welcome to our party by an attentive staff impressed me right off the bat, but when I saw the menu offered at this French-American bistro, shock is a mild word to describe my feelings.

Lombardo, the Worthams keep the beat at AHA event

A heartfelt honor … Randy Lombardo and Karen and Bob Wortham are the 2012 American Heart Association J.C. Crager Award recipients. This year the organization will celebrate the award’s 30th anniversary. The time-honored funder with this year’s theme “From Paris with Love,” will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Beaumont Plaza.
