I’ve been a Shinedown fan since the early days, IE: Leave a Whisper, so I never miss a chance to see and listen to Brent Smith’s vocals. I last saw the band in 2010 when they headlined the inaugural Carnival of Madness Tour (Aug. 21, 2010) at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion hear in Houston.

With book sales of more than 26 million for Suzanne Collins’ futuristic trilogy, a lot is riding on this initial film that introduces teen heroine Katniss Everdeen to audiences in what will be the first of at least three, possibly four, movies. Aimed at what marketers call the coveted “YA” or “young adult” market, the film has obviously been toned down from the book to earn the all-important PG-13 rating.

Robert Ramirez started his grocery store 32 years ago, according to Tina Myers, store manager, who has worked for Ramirez for the past 32 years. “I wouldn’t have stayed on that long if Robert wasn’t a great guy and the store wasn’t a great place,” she said.
