The Symphony of Southeast Texas will wrap up its spectacular 64th season with an extraordinary evening of great artistry fulfilling the season’s “Symphony Fantastique” theme on Saturday, April 1, inside the Julie Rogers Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Piano soloist Christopher O’Riley joins the Symphony featuring Rachmaninoff’s “Variations on a theme by Paganini” and Berlioz’s “Symphonie Fantastique.”

Neches Brewing Company, nestled in Port Neches – hence the name – has quietly become a go-to place for not only beer lovers, but also those who love good live music you can’t find in other spots in Southeast Texas.

Louisiana native Rod Melancon will perform two shows at the NBC on Saturday, April 1, and Sunday, April 2, at 8 p.m. Both shows are free to attend, and his Saturday show will be with the full band. Sunday, Melancon will perform solo.

One of the most anticipated Classic Movie Nights will be held Friday, March 31 at the Jefferson Theatre, with the 1980 romantic drama that created a movement and lifestyle while putting the town of Pasadena, Texas on the map — Urban Cowboy. Directed by James Bridges, the movie tells the story of Bud Davis (John Travolta), a country boy who moves to Pasadena to start working alongside his Uncle Bob in a refinery, then gets introduced to the Gilley’s night club.

The 74th annual YMBL South Texas State Fair is underway on the grounds of Ford Park in Beaumont. Live music has always be a part of the fair, but this year, the YMBL has partnered with Outlaw Nation Red Dirt Revival to bring in some of the best regional entertainment both weekends. Friday, March 31, performing will be Will Carter and Steve Griggs Band. From Katy, Carter was the lead singer of the Texas country act The Emotions, but after graduation from Texas A&M, he pursued a solo career with his own original music.
