Ubi Caritas will host a first ever St. Patrick’s Festival on Saturday, March 5, at the St. Mark’s Park Garden at 680 Calder Ave. in Beaumont from 4-8 p.m. In year’s past, Ubi Caritas has organized a Mardi Gras Dinner and Dance fundraiser, but this year is switching directions and bringing new light to the organization.

It’s that time again to “Go for the Gold,” a fundraiser for the Art Museum of Southeast Texas (AMSET), on Thursday, March 10, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $100 each, which includes admission for two, food, cocktails and one entry for the Go for the Gold drawing. One lucky ticket holder will watch their $100 entry turn into $10,000 in gold.

Wood Fired Grill inside Jerry Nelson’s Hill Country has been open for nearly a year now, and if you haven’t had the opportunity yet, you really need to give it a try.

The venue’s décor sets Wood Fired Grill apart from any other restaurant in Beaumont and is alone worth the visit. It has a warm, inviting feel that is reminiscent of a visit to the Texas Hill Country.

Saturday, Feb. 27, is the final time to see the work of artist David Granitz, a 37-year-old Beaumont native, at The Art Studio (720 Franklin) in downtown Beaumont. His exhibition is titled “Eulipion Constructs: The Recent Artwork of David W. Granitz III.”
