For Vidor High School students of decades past, Mutt & Jeff’s – once located where the district is building its new AIM Center east of campus – was where the cool kids hung out, and a popular place to eat. This blockbuster winner of the 2015 Tony Award for best musical revival will be directed by Paula Bothe. Musical director is Garrett DeLa Cerda, and the conductor is Bobby Chapman.

To kick off the 2015-16 school year, the Port Arthur Library is inviting students to collaborate with artist Ted Ellis. This educational mini-workshop Saturday, Sept. 5, from 2-4 p.m. will be an interactive time to engage each student and teach the value of the arts. This will also be a time of encouragement for students to be creative and broaden their imagination. Ellis and students will design one large mural together by the end of the workshop.
