Curious about how a work of art is made? Join in the fun at the next Adult Studio Workshop: Acrylic Still Life Painting at the Stark Museum of Art on Saturday, June 4, from 1-5 p.m. and learn to see art through the artist’s eyes. Special guest artist will be Stephanie Garza, who received her Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design and teacher certification from Lamar University. Garza has been an art teacher for 15 years and has been teaching painting classes at Painting with a Twist for five years.

Artists looking for a place to show off their latest creations need look no further than The Alternative Show at The Art Studio Inc. in June. This first-come, first-served art exhibition will take free submissions through June 2.

The show will open Saturday, June 4, with a reception from 7-10 p.m. in TASI’s gallery at 720 Franklin in downtown Beaumont. The exhibition runs through June 25.
