Finally the sequel to the beloved (and super popular) animated feature “Finding Nemo.” It’s a mystery why we had to wait so long considering some fish products begin to ripen after a few days — and not in a good way. It’s been 13 years since we’ve checked in with Marlin and Nemo, the father and son clown fish duo, and little Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) the blue tang fish, with the short-term memory issue.

‘The Example’

The Port Arthur Public Library and the African American Cultural Society will host a screening of the historical fiction short film “The Example,” on Thursday, June 23, at the Port Arthur Library Gallery, 4615 Ninth Ave., Port Arthur, at 6 p.m. The event is free to the public. Children ages 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Fans of Panda Express can now rejoice. The Chinese-American quick-serve chain restaurant opened in Beaumont on June 3 and is already seeing long lines of customers.For those who are familiar with Panda, everything should be business as usual, but many Southeast Texans are new to the restaurant, said Fufu Abdelsamad, general manager of the Beaumont Panda Express location.
