Swiss chard

Quiz question of the day: What is one vegetable that you would grow in the garden to eat and use as a low, decorative hedge in the front yard? One of the best answers would be Swiss chard. It is just beautiful! Just look at those brightly colored stems and thick, crinkled leaves. This photo was taken in front of a restaurant in Houston. Chard’s colorful stems and bright green leaves make it the single most glamorous garden green. It is super nutritious, too.

2017 Encore

Introduced in 2013, the Encore quickly carved out a niche of its own and rose to the top of the fast-growing small SUV market, topping it in 2014 and 2015. Encore was Buick’s best-selling vehicle in North America in 2015, accounting for nearly a third of overall sales. Its sales were up 34 percent for the first two months of 2016, extending a year-over-year sales increase streak to 26 months.

For 2017, a new front-end appearance and a new premium interior highlight the visual refinements.

The Bible covers so many interesting topics and, from time to time, I receive questions about what a certain verse or phrase might mean. I always am intrigued when I study the question and try to determine what I feel the Scripture is saying. I received an interesting one this past week: “What does it mean in the Book of Matthew when we are told to shake the dust off of our feet?”
