Combining elegant style and impressive fuel economy, the 2017 Lexus ES 300h is a remarkable hybrid luxury sedan.

As one of five Lexus hybrid models offered for 2017, the ES 300h makes luxury eco-conscious with EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings of 40 mpg in the city, 39 mpg on the highway and 40 mpg combined.

Exterior design

With a starting MSRP of $41,820, the ES 300h conveys its hybrid identity through subtle design cues, including a trunk lip spoiler and blue hybrid badges. “Subtle,” though, is hardly the word for the overall design.

Years ago I started buying plants for the yard, and if I saw it and it was pretty, I bought it. The result was areas full of bits and pieces and mostly flowering little plants that were pretty labor intensive. Then I went to a gardening lecture at our Beaumont Botanical Center where the speaker spoke about a plan for the yard. Crazy talk. He suggested a list of attributes that you would want in any plant in your yard. He also talked about the possibility of using no flowers at all in your landscape!
