More than 200 cancer survivors and caregivers donned their best western-wear as part of a “Survivor’s Celebration of Life” event Friday, June 3, at the Westin Houston Memorial City, located inside Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center in Houston. The event was hosted by Memorial Hermann Cancer Centers.

The Garden Brothers Circus is celebrating 100 years of entertaining families throughout North America and will “pull out all the stops” when it comes to the Beaumont Civic Center with two shows on Tuesday, June 21, at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.Adult tickets are $22-$30, and kid tickets (ages 2-12) are $8-$16. One of the hottest names in Country music, Frank Foster, will perform in Beaumont at the Backyard Music Hall on Friday, June 17 with doors opening at 7 p.m. for ages 18 years and older. Tickets to the show are $18 and can be purchased online at jnhillcountry.com or at the venue. From Cypress Bottom, Louisiana, has acted as his own record label, management, booking agency and publishing company, and managed to find success that some major label artist may never find.

International successful rock act The Guess Who will perform inside the Grand Event Center at the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles, La., on Friday, June 17, 8:30 p.m. Tickets for this 21 and older show are $27.50-$36.50 and can be purchased online at ticketmaster.com. From Winnipeg, Canada, the group formed in 1965 and the current lineup features two originals in Jim Kale (bass, vocals) and Garry Peterson (drums, vocals).
