Dr. Stedman Graham addressed Beaumont ISD students and faculty in a series of lectures about realizing potential and defining identity, the latter a subject on which he has taught and written books. Graham handed out his best-selling book “Teens Can Make It Happen: Nine Steps to Success” to Smith Middle School students and “Identity Passport to Freedom” to all attendees at the lectures.

Four area museums are participating in Smithsonian Magazine’s program Museum Day Live! The W.H Stark House and the Stark Museum of Art in Orange, the Museum of the Gulf Coast in Port Arthur, and the McFaddin-Ward House in Beaumont are offering free admission for two on Saturday, Sept. 29, to anyone with a complimentary ticket from Smithsonian Magazine’s website.
