PS3’s LittleBigPlanet2 simple, brilliant, creative fun for everyone

The plight of Sackboy, the main character in Sony’s LittleBigPlanet2 video game, rated E for everyone and available on the PlayStation3, is simple but brilliant.

It’s obviously envisioned by a parent who, like me, dreams of a super toy-sucking device to rid the living room of Nerf bullets with one sweep.

Wii Sports Resort: If you gotta play, pick the island

Last Friday night I was intrigued to observe a dozen 9 and 10 year old boys and girls sort through a massive collection of video games and cooperatively decide to play just one – Wii Sports Resort. This game has been in our covey of CDs for several years, and it’s one of my 10-year-olds favorites. Actually, it’s one of my favorites, too, but oddly, I’ve never reviewed it. Perhaps it’s just so familiar to me that I assumed it is to everyone else, as well.

The Sky's The Limit With Skyrim

While my little man, age 10, has mastered the portal of power and plays Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure, a fantasy video game that combines video playing with physical characters through a synced portal, (reviewed Oct. 27), kids a few years older are discovering another out-of-this-world “sky” game – Skyrim.
