Chris Jericho's Fozzy set to play Jefferson Theatre on May 22

For the first time ever, WWE superstar Chris Jericho and his rock band Fozzy will perform in Beaumont on Friday, May 22 at the historic Jefferson Theatre. Tickets for this all ages show go on sale on Friday, April 3, at 10 a.m. via the Beaumont Civic Center box office and for just $10.

Though Jericho, of Canada, has been a professional wrestler since 1990, his love of music rivals his love of the sport where he has been a multiple champion in several different organizations including being the first ever undisputed WWE world champion defeating both the Rock and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin in the same night at Survivor Series in 2001.

It was 1999 when Jericho formed the band, which was initially a cover band playing Ozzy Osbourne songs. Some years later, Fozzy’s third album, All That Remains, were all original tracks with guest appearances by Ozzy, Myles Kennedy and among others. The single “Enemy” became a hit and the band followed that up with two more records including Sin and Bones that produced the smash hit “Sandpaper” that featured vocals by M. Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold.

Fozzy began touring worldwide and played on the Uproar Tour as well as the Sonisphere Festival in England.

The band is touring in support of their latest effort, Do You Wanna Start a War that features the radio singles “Lights Go Out” and “One Crazed Anarchist.”
