Go Red For Women Luncheon

Go Red For Women Luncheon

Grab your girlfriends, wear red and help the American Heart Association save lives at the Go Red For Women Luncheon on Tuesday, May 2 at the Beaumont Country Club (5355 Pine St) beginning at noon. Go Red For Women is the American Heart Association’s national movement to end heart disease and stroke in women. Heart disease and stroke kill 1 in 3 women, which is more than all cancers combined. The good news is that 80 percent of cardiac events may be prevented with education and lifestyle changes. Honorees for this year’s event are Maureen Winchell, Kathleen Hambright, Carol Hearn, Jo Bienvenu and Gerry Edwards. The keynote speaker will be lifestyle expert Heloise, an author of more than a dozen books and her column “Hints From Heloise” can be seen seven days a week in more than 500 newspapers. Tickets are $75. To register, go online to goldentrianglegored.heart.org.
