Officer Bryan Hebert Memorial Foundation fundraiser at IBEW hall, Beaumont, Jan 27

Officer Bryan Hebert

With a style probably best described as “Mardi Gras” and a sound that’s nothing if not eclectic and cool, New Orleans “super pop” group Bag of Donuts will headline the annual Officer Bryan Hebert Memorial Foundation concert at the IBEW Local Union 479 hall at 1430 Spindletop Ave. in Beaumont on Saturday, Jan. 27, beginning at 6 p.m.

Rounding out the night of special performances, the stage will also boast crowd favorites Spencer Marks, Jimmy Kaiser and Lee Pelly.

But there’s so much more than a concert in store for those who attend the benefit. In addition to a silent auction with prizes including an offshore fishing trip and signed Dallas Cowboys memorabilia, those in attendance will also dine on good food and sip on good beverages while dancing the night away for a good cause.

Proceeds from the benefit support the mission of the Officer Bryan Hebert Memorial Foundation, which has been able to fund more than 30 scholarships and Eagle Scouts projects in the five years since the benefit’s inception. The annual concert is the only fundraiser the foundation hosts, and event organizers hope for another stellar Southeast Texas turnout.

Hebert was killed in the line of duty by a fleeing suspect in July 2011. He was just 36 years old.

Tickets include dinner and are $40 each; reserved tables of eight are $320. They can be purchased by calling (409) 880-3801.
