Redesigned a year ago, the 2015 Chevrolet Impala builds on the attributes that made it one of the most acclaimed new cars of 2014 – including being named the Best Car of 2014 and one of Kelley Blue Book’s 12 Best Family Cars for 2014.

With a starting MSRP of $27,060, the 2015 Chevrolet Impala features three trims: LS, LT and LTZ, a 2.5L engine and an available 3.6L V6 engine. The 2015 Impala is also offered in an all-new bi-fuel model.

Design details

The 2015 Impala features a classic Chevy sedan presence. Eleven exterior colors are available, including hues such as Black, Blue Velvet Metallic, Crystal Red Tintcoat, Cyber Gray, Silver Topaz Metallic, Rainforest Green, Autumn Bronze Metallic and more. Additionally, Impala offers a range of 18-, 19- and 20-inch wheels; on LTZ models, chrome-outlined exhaust outlets complete the appearance.

Premium interior materials and details such as high-quality fabric, sueded microfiber and perforated leather appointments complement the environment and give the Impala a comfortable look and feel.

LS models feature cloth seats, while LT comes standard with cloth/vinyl seats. Sueded microfiber-trimmed seats are available on LT and LTZ models, which feature standard perforated leather seating.

With seating for five, the Impala features 39.8-inches of rear leg room, 56.9-inches of rear shoulder room, and 54.1-inches of rear hip room. Additional available features include keyless starting, dual-zone climate control and much more. Interior color choices include Brownstone, Dark Titanium, Jet Black and Mojave.

Under the hood

Impala features a standard 2.5L engine and an available 3.6L V-6 engine. Paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, the 2.5L powertrain contributes to EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings of 22 mpg in city driving and 31 mpg on the highway. The 2.5L is SAE-certified at 196 horsepower and 186 foot-pounds of torque.

Output for the 3.6L V-6 is rated at 305 horsepower and 264 foot-pounds of torque. This engine is matched with a six-speed automatic transmission and features fuel economy averages of 19-mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.
