Dodge’s Durango offers new packages for 2015

The Dodge Durango features a combination of utility, technology and style. With a starting MSRP of $30,495, the 2015 Dodge Durango is available in four trim levels: SXT, Limited, R/T and Citadel. Additionally, the Rallye Appearance Package is now available on SXT and Limited models and the Dodge brand’s signature Blacktop Package is also now available on SXT, Limited and R/T models.

New for 2015

The aforementioned Rallye Appearance Package brings the R/T model’s monochromatic exterior design cues and Hyper Black 20-inch aluminum wheels to V-6 equipped SXT and Limited models. The interiors feature an all-black appearance with cloth seating on SXT and premium Capri leather seating on Limited.

The Dodge brand’s signature Blacktop Package is available on the 2015 Dodge Durango SXT, Limited and R/T models. Blacktop design cues include a gloss black grille, gloss black badge, and gloss black 20-inch aluminum wheels, in addition to a monochromatic exterior appearance with dual exhaust.

Additionally, a new red Nappa leather-seating package will be available on Durango R/T models — previously only available on Charger and Challenger in the Dodge lineup. This is in addition to the black Nappa leather seating already available with the optional Premium Nappa Leather Group.

Seating flexibility

With standard seven-passenger seating and second-row captain’s chairs available on all models, the 2015 Dodge Durango offers utility and comfort.

Seating in the second row features 38.6 inches of legroom, 50.4 inches of shoulder room and 42.8 inches of hip room, while seating in the third row offers 31.5 inches of legroom, 50.4 inches of shoulder room and 42.8 inches of hip room. Additionally, cargo volume is 17.2 cubic feet behind the third row.

Engine choices

Durango features a standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine that generates 290 horsepower (295 horsepower on Rallye and Blacktop Packages and Citadel) and 260 foot-pounds of torque. Fuel economy averages 18 mpg in the city, 25 mpg on the highway and 20 mpg combined for RWD models, and 17 mpg in the city, 24 mpg on the highway and 19 mpg combined for AWD models.

Durango also offers a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine, which produces a best-in-class 360 horsepower and 390 foot-pounds of torque. The 5.7L V8 averages 14 mpg in the city, 23 mpg on the highway and 17 mpg combined for RWD models, and 14 mpg in the city, 22 mpg on the highway and 16 mpg combined for AWD models.

The 2015 Dodge Durango is built at the Chrysler Group LLC’s Jefferson North Assembly Plant (JNAP) in Detroit, Michigan, where the Durango has been produced since 2010 when the third-generation Durango was reintroduced for the 2011 model year.
