With a starting MSRP of $19,595, the 2016 the Jeep Compass is available in two trims, Sport and Latitude. This compact sport utility vehicle offers an array of features with highlights including SiriusXM Radio, keyless entry, body-colored exterior door handles, an audio system with four speakers, floor mats, satin chrome interior accents, soft touch materials, stylish accent stitching, standard premium cloth upholstery on Sport trims, and standard sport mesh cloth upholstery on Latitude trims. Available options include items such as 18-inch chrome clad aluminum wheels, leather-trimmed seating, and a premium audio system with nine Boston Acoustic speakers.

With seating for up to five, the Jeep Compass offers 39.4 inches of rear legroom and 54.0 inches of rear shoulder room. The Jeep Compass features a rear 60/40 split folding seat and 22.7 cubic feet of cargo volume (with rear seats upright). When rear seats are folded, the cargo volume increases to 53.6-cubic feet.

Interior colors are Dark Slate Gray, Dark Slate Gray/Light Pebble Beach and Saddle Tan.

Complementing the interior style are nine exterior colors, including hues such as Black Clear Coat, Red Crystal Pearl Coat, Granite Crystal Metallic Clear Coat, True Blue Pearl, and new for 2016 — Mojave Sand.

Under the Hood

The 2016 Jeep Compass is powered by the 2.0-liter I-4 World Gas Engine, which produces 158 horsepower and 141 foot-pounds of torque. This engine is standard on both the Jeep Compass Sport and Jeep Compass Latitude. Fuel economy ratings average 23 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway when paired with the five-speed manual transmission (4x2). Fuel economy ratings are 22 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway when paired with an automatic transmission.

Also available on both trims is a 2.4-liter I-4 DOHC 16-valve dual VVT engine, which produces172-horsepower and 165 foot-pounds of torque. Fuel economy averages 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway when paired with six-speed automatic transmission (4x2).
