A constant in Toyota’s U.S. model lineup for more than 50 years, the Land Cruiser has evolved from a simple utility vehicle into a premium-luxury SUV with seating for up to eight.

All standard

Back in 2013, Land Cruiser received exterior and interior design enhancements and made all previously optional features standard. Today, the customer has only to select exterior and interior colors.

For 2014, interior trim colors are Sandstone and Black, while exterior colors include seven choices, such as Classic Silver Metallic, Salsa Red Pearl, Amazon Green Metallic and Black.

Amenities

As mentioned earlier, Land Cruiser seats up to eight, with three-across seating in the second and third rows. Middle-row seating is luxurious and versatile, with perforated leather trim and ample legroom (36.0 inches), shoulder room (61.1 inches) and hip room (58.5 inches).

Maximum cargo capacity is 81.7 cubic feet. Cargo capacity with the third row folded is 43.0 cubic feet or 16.1 cubic feet behind the third row.

With 28 total air vents, the four-zone automatic climate control system is designed for comfort. Additionally, the system also includes a micro-dust and pollen filter, and seven-level blower control.

Other standard Land Cruiser features include Smart Key keyless entry with push-button start that allows the driver to unlock or start the vehicle without inserting a conventional key; anti-theft security system; rear seat DVD entertainment system with nine-inch display and much more.

Premium audio

Land Cruiser also comes standard with Toyota’s premium audio system. The system has many features including AM/FM CD player with MP3/WMA playback capability, 14 JBL speakers including subwoofer, SiriusXM Satellite Radio capability (includes three-month trial subscription to XM Select Package); and HD Radio.
