Nissan’s hatchback, the 2015 Versa Note

The new Versa Note SR adds unique, sporty exterior treatments, suede seat accent

Following a successful debut as a 2014 model, the Nissan Versa Note enters its second year of production with a number of significant enhancements – led by the addition of new Versa Note SR and Versa Note SL trim levels. With a starting MSRP of $14,180, there are now a total of five models: S, S Plus, SV, SR and SL. (Versa Note’s optional equipment packages also offer new or revised content for 2015.)

The companion vehicle to the popular Versa sedan, Versa Note celebrates the unique qualities of its five-door hatchback design. It shares its platform and drivetrain with the Versa sedan, yet Versa Note has its own distinctive look and feel inside and out.

Versa Note style

Nissan Versa Note’s modern styling is designed to accomplish two things: provide efficient aerodynamics to help enhance fuel economy and to stand out from the crowd of entry-level competitors.

Fuel economy ratings are impressive, with the Versa Note averaging 40 mpg on the highway, 31 mpg in the city and 35 mpg combined when equipped with the Xtronic transmission, and 36 mpg on the highway, 27 mpg in the city and 30 mpg combined when equipped with the five-speed manual transmission.

Additionally, the 2015 Versa Note is offered in eight exterior colors: Metallic Blue, Red Brick, Brilliant Silver, Magnetic Gray, Super Black, Aspen White, Metallic Peacock and MorningSky Blue.

Inside, the five-passenger Versa Note cabin provides a total interior volume of 112.9 cubic feet and cargo space of 18.8 cubic feet. The interior also offers rear legroom of 38.3 inches, rear hiproom of 48.8 inches and rear shoulder room of 51.9 inches.

Two interior colors are offered: Charcoal and Wheat Stone.

Under the hood of the Versa Note is a 1.6-liter HR16DE 4-cylinder engine rated at 109 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 107 foot-pounds of torque at 4,400 rpm. Versa Note is offered with a choice of the two aforementioned transmissions – a five-speed manual transmission (S model only) or Xtronic transmission.
