Pet of the Week

Pet of the Week

This Pixie will stick by your side, but you’ll want to pick her up as fast as you can. Pixie is a 2-1/2-year-old, 9-pound female miniature dachshund/Chihuahua mix. Her owner surrendered her to the shelter because they were moving. Pixie is absolutely adorable! She has a doxie’s long body and muzzle but a Chihuahua’s taller legs. By far, her most fetching feature is her oversized ears. She’s living in a home where she is socializing with her sweet foster family and learning about housetraining. As the world opens up to Pixie, this darling, shy doll will really come out of her shell. Any patience and love you put out for this baby will be so, so worth it.

The adoption fee is $115 for mixed breed dogs over 20 pounds, and $175 for pure breeds and dogs under 20 pounds. Pure breeds under 20 pounds  are $225. This includes first round of vaccinations, bordetella vaccination, worming, flea treatment, spay or neutering and a veterinary wellness exam. All animals will be spayed or neutered before going to their new home. Adoption is a 15-year commitment. Please adopt responsibly. For more information, call the Humane Society of Southeast Texas at (409) 833-0504 or visit at 2050 Spindletop Ave., Beaumont.
