SpiriTed coming to area congregation

If your heart, to be merry, needs a medicine as the Scripture promises, then organizers in Southeast Texas might just have the perfect prescription for you. Promised in exchange for only 59 minutes of your time is the opportunity to laugh, cry, giggle, think a bit, smile, nod, agree, wonder, realize, chuckler, muse, and even poke your neighbor in the ribs. You are also invited to clap your hands, stomp your feet, and then just laugh some more.

Jonathan Richard Cring and Janet Clazzy are bringing their national 2012 Six Word Tour to Southeast Texas on Friday evening, Feb. 24, beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are not required and there is no admittance charge. The host church is Faith United Methodist Church at 18895 FM 365 in Beaumont. By the way, the six words are “No One’s Better Than Anyone Else.”

Cring and Clazzy, a duo known as SpiritTed, have logged thousands of miles sharing a message of hope, reasoning, reconciliation and more than anything else, fun, pure fun, enriching the lives of tens of thousands of people. Cring, a daily columnist, composer, songwriter and remarkable musician, brings his wit and wisdom with a bit of an edge. Clazzy dazzles audiences with the oboe and the WX-5 wind machine that produces the sound of 250 different instruments.

“We take some time to bring you music, humor, fresh insights into life in these United States and the ways of being human,” said Cring. “The program is a nonstop, inter-generational explosion, helping us to remember who we are and why we would like to do better.”

“We offer entertainment and inspiration, what we like to call ‘enterspiration,’ explains Clazzy. “There’s music, laughter, thought provoking stories as only Jonathan can tell them, giggles and great discourse.”

In a telephone interview with Clazzy, the talented musician shared some insights about her partner. “Jonathan has been a huge success in the music industry alone,” said Clazzy. “He founded a group and played with them for years. Soul Purpose was on the PTL network, performed in concerts and events across the country for years, and made records and tapes. His sound has been compared to John Denver, Neil Diamond and Elton John.“Jonathan also has written 11 successful books, several screenplays and 13 films, along with having authored 1,429 entries into his popular blog.”

Clazzy has been compared to emitting music akin to that of Kenny G., and the wind machine is a force to be reckoned with in any genre, she declares.Read more about the presenters at www.spirited2011.com or www.jonathots.com. The church telephone number is (409) 794-4121.
