Subaru’s sports car, the 2013 BRZ

Subaru of America Inc. has introduced the all-new Subaru BRZ sports car to its award-winning line of passenger cars, crossovers and SUVs.

With a starting MSRP of $25,495, the 2013 BRZ is a sporty two door that’s powered by a 200-horsepowered engine and delivers estimated fuel economy ratings of 22 mpg city, 30 mpg highway and 25 mpg combined with the 6-speed manual transmission; and 25 mpg city, 34 mpg highway and 28 mpg combined with the 6-speed automatic transmission. This engine also produces 151 foot-pounds of torque.

Two levels of equipment

Subaru will offer the 2013 BRZ in two levels, Premium (MSRP $25,495) and Limited (MSRP $27,495).

Like all Subaru models, the 2013 BRZ comes equipped with the kind of thoughtful standard features that make everyday driving more convenient. The BRZ Premium model’s long list of standard amenities, includes features such as AM/FM stereo with HD radio, single-disc in-dash CD player, eight speakers and XM Satellite Radio (subscription required), carpeted floor mats, chrome interior door handles, variable intermittent windshield wipers and much more.

The Subaru BRZ Limited offers additional comfort and amenities. Externally, the BRZ Limited is distinguished in front with fog lights and in the rear by a body-color trunk spoiler. Inside, the seats are upholstered with Alcantara inserts and leather bolsters.

Additionally, the BRZ Limited substitutes a dual-zone automatic climate control for the Premium model’s manual HVAC system. The Limited also features keyless access and start with illuminated engine start/stop button adds to convenience and the sporty attitude of the car.

Also in the Limited, front door courtesy lights illuminate when the doors are opened. The only factory option for both the BRZ Premium and Limited models is the 6-speed automatic transmission.
