The well-appointed Lexus GX 460 luxury utility vehicle carries over into 2016 with its quiet cabin and long list of standard features and options that make it a versatile choice. With its seven-passenger and three-row configuration, the GX 460 mixes comfort with premium craftsmanship.

Exterior style

The GX 460’s design combines function and elegance with unmistakable brand identity. Exterior features include Lexus’ signature spindle front grille, 18-inch six-spoke wheels (18-inch split six-spoke wheels with Liquid Graphite finish are available on the Luxury model), integrated front and rear mudguards, rear spoiler and much more.

Seven exterior colors are available for the 2016 model, including hues such as Silver Lining Metallic and Black Onyx.

Luxury and comfort

The GX 460 presents a luxurious passenger environment with the fit and finishes expected in a Lexus. Inside, amenities abound. Available trim colors include ecru, black or sepia leather-trimmed interior.

A premium nine-speaker audio system, which includes SiriusXM Satellite Radio (complimentary 90-day trial subscription), is standard; however, a Mark Levinson Surround Audio with 17-speakers is available. Other optional luxury features include full mahogany wood trim, three-zone automatic climate control and semi-aniline leather trim.

With seating for seven, the GX 460’s rear legroom is listed at 34.1 inches (middle) and 29.3 inches (rear); rear shoulder room is 57.3 inches (middle) 54.5 inches (rear); and rear hip room is 55.2 inches (middle) 43.1 inches (rear).


A 4.6-liter V8 engine powers the GX 460. This engine produces 301 horsepower and 329 foot-pounds of torque. Additionally, this 4.6-liter V8 is paired to a six-speed sequential shift automatic electronically controlled transmission.

Fuel economy averages are: 15 mpg in the city, 20 mpg on the highway and 17 mpg combined.
