The Grill provides upscale yet casual dining experience
Whether you are looking for a nice place to eat providing a good atmosphere for you and your special someone, a business meeting, a group of friends out for a night of fun, or just a wonderful relaxing meal for you and the family, put The Grill by Arfeen, Smith and Payne on your must-do list. You will be pleasantly surprised at the quality of food, the upscale surroundings, and a price point in line with many of Beaumont’s better restaurants.
Chris Berger of The Grill said that what they offer is not a true fine dining experience. The Grill is more of an upscale casual restaurant. But you will likely need to try it for yourself to come to an honest conclusion.
The restaurant offers an outstanding wine list, including ports, and top shelf premium alcohol blended just right by experienced servers.
“We have a wonderful selection of menu choices,” said Berger, “and we use only the absolute best quality of food. We offer fresh, line-caught fish flown in daily from all over the world, and our chef knows his business.” Berger added that for the vegetarian guests, there is an eclectic variety of vegetables including roots, organic grains and herbs, soups and other selections made with only vegetable stock.
Speaking of the chef, The Grill is pleased to confirm that Terry Bell is on board to create features that are new and exciting and not found anywhere else in Beaumont. Chef Bell brings with him years of experience and has served at the helm of several restaurants before joining the staff of The Grill. Favorites that Bell has created for The Grill include Pork Belly with Quick Pickled Melon, Bone Marrow Canoes, Kim Chi Fritters, Duck Confit and others that will tempt the most demanding palettes. “We invite our customers to try something they never tasted before,” said Berger, “as well as ordering the steak or fish of their choice. Chef Bell mixes exotic flavors, with every feature designed for our guests.”
One recent customer said that dining at The Grill was something he had not found other beyond Houston or Dallas. He laughed and added, “We have something this good right here in Beaumont without the long drive to a larger city. With the price of gas these days, that is something to keep in mind.”
A huge draw for The Grill has been the Cabana Bar and Patio, bringing a more casual atmosphere and resort feel to the evening. This area offers outdoor cushioned couches, soft lighting and live music. The Harbor Room lends itself to the perfect combination of form and function with seating for 42. Here you will find a plasma screen television and full audio-visual amenities for business dinners and private events.
Keep in mind that The Grill is closed on Sunday and Monday, and reservations are recommended. Happy hour is 3-7 p.m. daily and dinner service begins at 5 p.m. Live music is presented on Thursday evenings beginning at 6:30 p.m. Visit The Grill’s Facebook page for up-to-the-minute details and all music listings.
