The Jefferson Theatre will host Titanic on Classic Movie Night on Friday, June 30, as well as Amour for the Foreign Cinema Series on Wednesday, July 5. 

Titanic, one of the most expensive films ever to be made with a $200 million budget, was released in 1997. It is written, directed and produced by James Cameron and tells the love story of Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Rose DeWitt Bukater (Kate Winslet) aboard the mighty RMS Titanic that sank during the early morning hours of April 15, 1912. The film won 17 Academy Awards and became the second highest grossing film of all time at $2.187 billion. Titanic is Rated PG-13 and is 3 hours and 14 minutes.

Amour is a 2012 French romantic-drama directed by Michael Haneke and starring Jean-Louis Trintignant, Emmanuelle Riva and Isabelle Huppert. It tells the story of retired music teachers Georges and Anne, who have spent their lives devoted to their careers and to each other. Their relationship faces its greatest challenge when Anne suffers a debilitating stroke. Though Georges himself suffers from the aches and infirmities of old age, he bravely ignores his own discomfort to take care of his wife, and is determined to keep his promise to her that she never go back to the hospital. The movie is 2 hours and 7 minutes and Rated PG-13.
