Humane Bike Ride and Wine Tasting Event

Come join the fun and support a good cause at the Humane Bike Ride and Wine Tasting Event at Bruno & George Winery in Sour Lake on Saturday, Aug. 17.

There are three different bike routes: a 47-mile route and a 30-mile route beginning at 8:30 a.m., and an 18-mile route beginning at 9 a.m. Routes will be marked and maps provided. Rest stops will be set up along routes to refresh the riders. Sag Wagons will be patrolling routes to assist any riders in need. All riders must obey all traffic laws and MUST wear a certified helmet.

Lunch will be provided by Rose & August Polite followed by a wine tasting from Bruno & George Winery, and is a raffle benefiting the Humane Society for a dog and cat quilt designed, pieced and quilted by Kristin Shirley. The quilt is 68 x 81 inches. Chances are $5 each or six chances for $25. The drawing will take place Aug. 17 in Sour Lake. You need not be present to win. Tickets can be purchased at the Humane Society.
