Master’s Men 6th Annual Winter Celebration gospel concert set for Feb. 23

Triumphant Quartet

The Master’s Men Annual Winter Celebration, which brings the best artists in Southern Gospel to Southeast Texas every February is scheduled for Feb. 23 at Silsbee High School Auditorium, located  at 5 p.m., with doors opening at 4 p.m.

This year’s guests include Triumphant Quartet, Jeff and Sheri Easter and 11th hour.

Triumphant Quartet has been voted best male quartet in the Singing News Fan Awards for the fourth consecutive year. In addition, Edgar Bennett was named best bassist, Jeff Stice was voted best musician and the group earned album of the year with “Songs From Your Heart.” This outstanding group, which was formed in 2002, has everything fans expect in a southern gospel quartet, with David Sutton providing unbelievable high notes; Eric Bennett, award winning bass singer, providing a firm foundation; and father/son Clayton and Scotty Inman giving a rich blend at lead and baritone.

Jeff and Sherri Easter, southern and country gospel group, have been nominated for numerous Dove Awards — winning a total of six — including southern gospel song of the year in 2010 and receiving a second lifetime Grammy nomination. As members of acclaimed musical families — Jeff’s father is one of the Easter Brothers and Sheri’s mother is a member of The Lewis Family — they grew up surrounded by the sound of people praising God through their musical gifts.

11th Hour is a young up-and-coming trio that has already charted songs on the Singing News Top 100, with their song “Stepping Out” already in the top 10.

The Master’s Men, from First Baptist Church Silsbee, are a group of eight dedicated Christians that sing traditional four-part southern gospel with seven singers, which add depth to their sound. They have been promoting and providing southern gospel music to Southeast Texas and beyond for the past 15 years, bringing the gospel message in song to thousands.

First Baptist Church Silsbee is sponsoring the event. Tickets and additional information is available online at mastersmensilsbee.org or by calling First Baptist Church Silsbee at (409) 385-2819.
