New Year’s Eve on TV

Those wishing to stay home New Year’s Eve can still watch the ball drop as most of the major networks provide live coverage of Time Square in the heart of New York City.

Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest will include 38 performances and five and half hours of music beginning at 7 p.m. on ABC. Scheduled to perform are Carrie Underwood, joined by Luke Bryan, Demi Lovato and Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth.

Fergie will host the Billboard Hollywood Party during the show with performances by headliner One Direction, 5 Seconds of Summer, Alessia Cara, DNCE, Fall Out Boy, Andy Grammer, Ellie Goulding, Nick Jonas, Elle King, Tove Lo, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, OMI, Pentatonix, Rachel Platten, Nathan Sykes, Walk the Moon and Jimmy Buffett.

Also during the show, Taylor Swift will premiere the video of her new song, “Out of the Woods.”

Ring in 2016 with New Year’s Eve Game Night with Andy Cohen at 9 p.m. on NBC followed by Carson Daly and Gwen Stefani live from Times Square.

Pitbull’s New Year’s Revolution continues this year on FOX live from Miami, Fla. at 10 p.m. with guests Puff Daddy, Terry Crews and performances from Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Prince Royce, Austin Mahone, R. City, Pia Mia and the legendary Earth, Wind & Fire.

And not to be outdone, MTV is skipping the outdoor festivities with a marathon of the reality show Ridiculousness.

Syfy is ringing in 2016 with all 156 episodes of The Twilight Zone aired chronologically and in HD.
