Symphony of Southeast Texas live at Julie Rogers Theatre, Beaumont, Feb 10th

The Symphony of Southeast Texas kicks off 2018 in grand style as they present their third concert in the Classic Series, The Elegance of Elgar, on Saturday, Feb. 10, inside the Julie Rogers Theatre in downtown Beaumont at 7:30 p.m.

Guest solo artist Tomoko Kanamaru returns to Southeast Texas to wow the audience with her virtuosity on the piano. The evening will showcase composers Aaron Copland, Franz Liszt, and the xxKanamaru made her first public performance with a professional orchestra at the age of 9 in Japan and went on to play the likes of Carnegie Hall in New York, Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, Sumida Triphony Hall in Tokyo, among others.

 “This complex concert is a wonderful showcase of the musicians of Southeast Texas and the extent of their talent. I know that our audience will be moved by such a classical masterwork,” said Maestro Chelsea Tipton, Music Director for the Symphony of Southeast Texas.
