Valero Kid Fest 2019

Valero Kid Fest 2019

School is out and iHeartMedia Beaumont has come to the rescue with an ultimate kid experience – the 10th annual Valero Kid Fest brought to you in part by Philpott Toyota and the Port Arthur Police Department.

The big event takes place on Saturday, June 8, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. inside the Carl Parker Center on the campus of Lamar State College Port Arthur (1800 Lakeshore Drive). Youngsters of all ages will have the opportunity to enjoy activities including fishing, face painting, arts and craft, bounce houses plus get up close and personal with the life-sized Kid Fest Robot “Aux”, out of this world superheroes, and favorite fairy tale princesses. Not to mention the return of popular attractions like Kid Fish, brought to you by Entergy. The Catch Tank, run by Texas Junior Anglers, is a portable fishing pond stocked with fish to catch and release.

And the best part? It’s absolutely free for kids with a kid ticket. Parents can get those free kid’s tickets at one of the McDonald’s locations in Port Arthur, Nederland, Groves, and Bridge City; Philpott Toyota; Gulf Coast Health Center (2548 Memorial Blvd), and the Valero Corner Store in Groves (4530 Twin City Highway).

Speaking of outdoors, Chester Moore, who hosts the weekly “Moore Outdoors” talk show on AM 560 KLVI, will be on stage hosting the interactive Kingdom Zoo. Moore will have lots of animals for all kids to enjoy.

Port Arthur Industry and Community Leaders Advisory Group will sponsor the out of this world Superheroes from Misfist Studios, the fairy tale princesses from Gowns on the Town, and a life-sized robot from Robots Extreme.

“In planning the 10th Anniversary of the Valero Kid Fest in Port Arthur, we truly wanted to take the event to the next level,” said Ryan Tremont, senior vice president of sales at iHeartMedia Beaumont.

“The last few years have been our largest ever, and with this being the 10th Anniversary we wanted to ensure that this year’s event was our biggest and best… ever. We have been honored to have such dedicated local sponsors, and community partners like the Port Arthur Police Department, partner with us year after year to bring this event back each year. We plan our whole year around Kid Fest.”

The fun-filled say will also focus on education, safety and environmental practices with local agencies and non-profit organizations. For more information, view any of the iHeartMedia Beaumont websites including klvi.com, bigdog106.com, cool925.com, kiss1045fm.com, kykr.com and 1033thebeat.com.
