Interview (audio) with Powerman 5000's Spider One
The Gig on Crockett Street in downtown Beaumont TX will be filled with electronic rock on Wednesday, April 23 as Powerman 5000 headlines plus performances by The Hunger, 9 Electric and local acts Henly, and Etyma.
Tickets are $15, for ages 18 years and older, and can be purchased at the venue or online at outhousetickets.com.
With a new album set to be released May 27 titled Builders of the Future, which will be their first new music in five years, Powerman 5000 has graced us with super cool tunes like “Supernova Goes Pop,” “Free,” “Action,” “Super Villain,” “V is for Vampire,” “Nobody’s Real,” “When Worlds Collide,” “Bombshell” and the latest from the forthcoming CD, “How to Be a Human.”
Before The Walking Dead became a massive television hit, PM5K’s Spider One developed the 2011 MTV series Death Valley, which told the story of the LAPD fighting vampire, werewolves and zombies. I chatted with Spider One about the new record, zombies, comics and super heroes.
