John Anderson, Joe Diffe to play Hardin County MusicFest
The Hardin County MusicFest is bringing in some heavy hitters this weekend as Joe Diffie will headline on Friday, May 2 and John Anderson will do the same on Saturday, May 3. Tickets for each day are $20 per person and children 6 and under are free. This year’s event is located at the Big Thicket Trade Days on Highway 69 in Kountze.
Gates open at 5 p.m. on Friday with performances by Adam Tantillo, William Michael Morgan, Blue Broussard then Diffie takes the stage at 9:30 p.m. Diffie, 55, has charted nearly three dozen country hits including “Home,” “If the Devil Danced (In Empty Pockets),” “Third Rock from the Sun,” “Pickup Man,” “Bigger Than the Beatles” and “It’s Always Somethin’.”
Gates will also open at 5 p.m. on Saturday with performances from Dallas Street Ramblers, Larry Tillery, BB & Company, and Anderson at 9:30 p.m. Anderson, 59, had plenty of hits such as “Black Sheep,” “Money in the Bank,” “Straight Tequila Night,” “Swingin’,” “She Just Started Liking Cheatin’ Songs,” “I’m Just an Old Chunk of Coal” and “Seminole Wind.”
