After a highly successful Total Package Tour in 2013, the follow-up properly titled Total Package Tour featuring the New Kids on the Block will “step by step” into the Toyota Center in Houston on Saturday, May 20. If NKOTB wasn’t enough, Paula Abdul, who will tour for the first time in 25 years, will perform as well as Boyz II Men giving fans a concert with more than 200 million combined record sales on one stage.

In 1986, April Fool’s Day to be exact, brothers Jonathan and Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood released their first album titled New Kids on the Block, which began a craze in the music industry that is still talked about to this very day.

The boys from Boston have sold more than 80 million records worldwide with six studio albums, a Christmas record, and of course, a Greatest Hits CD, or two. Big hits were “Please Don’t Go Girl,” “You Got the Right Stuff (The Right Stuff),” “Hangin’ Tough,” “Cover” and the top-seller, “Step By Step.”

This will be the iconic Abdul’s first national tour since the “Under My Spell Tour” in 1991-92. Her debut record came in 1998, Forever Your Girl, and went on to sell more than 12 million copies thanks to hits like “Straight Up,” “Forever Your Girl,” “Cold Hearted” and “Opposites Attract.”

And who could forget her return to fame as one of the original judges in the FOX award-winning reality singing competition television shows — American Idol?

Boyz II Men’s 1992 song “End of the Road” stayed at No. 1 atop of the Billboard Hot 100 for a record 13 straight weeks. The group also became the third artist ever to replace themself at No. 1 (behind the Beatles and Elvis Presley) with the songs “On Bended Knee” and “I'll Make Love to You.”
