Two benefit concerts coming up

Frank Davis & The Touching Hearts Band invites the public to an evening of fellowship, classic country music, dancing and lots of fun Saturday, March 22, beginning at 7 p.m. at 2499 Clearlake Road in Kountze. The party offers everyone a chance to show support for the new band with a minimum donation of $20 to go toward sound equipment and advertising. Bring a lawn chair and beverages to wash down homemade pizza. Bruno & George Winery of Sour Lake will be serving their fabulous wines for tastings, or you can buy the bottle. Elvis will be on the grounds in the form of Jeff Rainey, who does a wonderful Elvis impersonation. Also appearing will be Shyane Compton, Kevin Adams, Michaelyn Grissom, Taylor Williams and Canan Jones.

Saturday, March 29, Rockin’ to the Oldies presenting the SPHA Bad Boy (and Girl) Scouts will feature a concert and jam session benefiting the South Park Heritage Association and honoring Sherri Garrett of the class of 1970. Doors open at 2 p.m. at Big Rich Couvrille’s in Beaumont. $15 cover includes gumbo and potato salad, with food service beginning at 4 p.m. Families welcome for music, food and fun. Featuring Gerry Mouton, Pa Hunt, Bris Crider, Vinny Montalbano, Tim Meehan, Drew Kimura, Glen Moyer, John Richmond, Coy Fuller, Gayle Sheffield, Buddy Hughes and Beki Baggett Burton with Donny Trahan.
