Vidor's Texas Music Festival to host Bellamy Brothers

The Vidor Chamber of Commerce presents the Texas Star Music Festival and Texas Bar-B-Q Fest on April 24-27 at Conn Park located near I-10 and Old Hwy 90 in Vidor. Over 40 cook teams will be competing and festivalgoers can enjoy plenty of good food, vendors, carnival rides and live entertainment. Admission is $2 per person with a parking fee of $5.

A local lineup is scheduled for opening night beginning at 6:30 p.m. including Andrew McCabe, Abrial Hall and John Cessac.

On Friday, local act Britt Godwin & Bubba Moore will perform at 6:30 p.m. then the Bellamy Brothers will take the stage at 9 p.m. Brothers Harold and David Bellamy began performing in 1968 and went on to record 10 No. 1 country singles including “Let Your Love Flow,” “If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body, Would You Hold It Against Me,” “For All the Wrong Reasons” and “Redneck Girl.”

On Saturday, Texas Thunder of Vidor will play at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Zydeco sounds of Travis Matte and the Kingpins at 9:30 p.m.
